Project Description

Gamboa Rainforest Resort

Escape from the concrete jungle of Panama City by driving 45 minutes to Gamboa Rainforest Resort on the shores of the Panama Canal. This property is located within 340 hectares which surround the Soberania National Park. It is impossible to get bored here since it is the best eco-tourism area close to the city. Panama’s only cable car takes you through 1.2 kilometers within the rainforest. You will reach an observation tower were you can see the town of Gamboa, the Panama Canal and an Embera Indigenous Village which is possible to visit. The resort also has ecological displays of snakes and orchids, as well as a butterfly house and a sloth shelter. Monkey Island tour takes you inside Lake Gatun to see three of the seven species of monkeys that live in Panama. You can also fish in the lake, do a night safari, kayaks and birdwatching.

The pool is the perfect place to be if you simply want to relax in the Gamboa Rainforest Resort. It will be visible through huge glass windows as soon as you walk into the lobby of the hotel. A section of the pool is shallow for children while the other area is deeper and has a waterfall. A small library on the top of the lobby is one of the places you must discover during your stay. Three restaurants provide guests with plenty of options. One is by the lobby, the other is buffet style and the last is upscale, only open for dinner.

This resort has 166 rooms with amazing views of the Panama Canal and Chagres River. All rooms have a terrace with hammock, perfect to relax and enjoy the peacefulness of the site. Other amenities include free WiFi, room service, security box, flat screen TV, air conditioner, mini-bar and coffee maker. If you want to relax even more then you should visit the Sensory Spa by Clarins which offers high quality treatments using natural minerals and herbs.
